Individual psychotherapy is a structured, confidential, and collaborative therapeutic process conducted between the licensed mental health professional and you, the client. The purpose of individual psychotherapy is to assess, explore, and address emotional, cognitive, and behavioral concerns that are impacting your functioning, well-being, and quality of life. Evidence-based interventions are utilized to help foster growth and change in these areas.
Sessions typically focus on:
Reducing symptoms related to mental health diagnoses (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD)
Enhancing self-awareness and insight
Building emotional regulation and coping strategies
Improving interpersonal functioning and problem-solving abilities
Supporting behavior change and goal attainment
Sessions are usually scheduled on a weekly or biweekly basis and last approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on the treatment plan and your needs. The therapeutic relationship is grounded in empathy, respect, and ethical standards of care, with interventions tailored to your individual clinical presentation and goals.
